Fair Fee

All of us living in the Lake Winona Reservation have the responsibility to bear a fair and equal burden of the actual expense to maintain the health and safety of Lake Winona. The annual Lake Maintenance payment allows us the right to use the waters of Lake Winona, as referenced in the covenants and restrictions in the master deed in accordance with the LWCA rules and regulations.

In 2008, the Lake Maintenance Fee is a reasonable $165.00. The right to assess the fee is supported in case law. Time and again, delinquent fees have been collected at or before the time when someone sells their property, regardless of the existence of a filed lien (although a number of liens have been filed with the Hall of Records). The language in the covenants reads "said payments shall be considered in default if over due sixty days, at which time they shall also become a lien upon the property." If you live or own property in the Lake Winona Reservation, the annual Lake Maintenance Fee must be paid. If you have not yet sent in your payment yet, please do so now to avoid the penalty interest. Dues Due

April 1, 2008, marks the beginning of the new LWCA Member year. Annual family dues are only $220 and entitle Members access to use our ground facilities: the playground, basketball court, picnic area, beach and Civic Center. Non-dues paying persons are not permitted on the private grounds of the LWCA and are considered trespassers. This is NOT a public park.

There is a strong desire to enhance the facilities and with the help of volunteer helpers, a difference can certainly be made. LWCA membership is a tangible way to demonstrate your stewardship in both Lake Winona and our community. Belonging to the LWCA is an easy way to bring the neighborhood together and to share in family activities. The community is strengthened by and made more secure with an active membership.
